Hey guys. I recently purchase an American Angler electric fillet knife. I like it a lot so far but have heard really good things about the Piranha Mister Twister blades. Does anyone know if the blades for the Piranha knife can be put on the American Angler electric fillet knife. If not, what fillet knives do ya'll have and how do you like them.

I would probably buy it from Academy, bring it home and try it out. If it doesn't work, Academy has a very liberal return policy.

I have used Mr. Twister blades on my American Angler knives. They fit fine.

I don't catch enough fish to need a fancy knife.

I use the Mister Twister (reg model that's green/yellow)...and have for years. Can't beat the deal when on sale at Academy for $14.95. Don't want to filet a bunch of bull reds with it though...
BTW, Cabela's price on same knife, w/carrying case is $37.95...go figure???

I bought a cheap bread knife at a dollar store that I use to cut through the big bones in reds, then I use the fillet knife for the rest of the fish.

I find in the Paranah blades to be worthless on Reds and too sharp for trout (you'll go straight through the spine and never feel it). I replace the blades just w/ the standard ones for reds/specs and really only use the piranah blades on catfish. The paranah motor is a beast and over the 3 years I've been using it......I've never been Zapped!!!!!
I've been using the American Angler filet knife for years on specs, reds and bass. Works great for me, and they make a blade that is all teeth and little back that works great. Blue handle. Nothing you buy is going to go thru big red rib bones, so work around that.
