My work is starting up soon and wanted to get in as much fishing without driving as possible. I live in BR and the LSU Lakes seem to be the best bet for morning trips.
Are there any masters of the lake out there? Tips? (other than "don't fish in the lake")
There used to be some decent sac-a-lait and striped bass in there near the interstate overpass. I have no idea what it is now given the conditions.

I've caught sac-a-lait out there in the last year, but it is very sporadic. Any tips on the bass there? Any lures that can cut through the muddy water?
The best bait I had for the stripers was live worms.

Cool, when the weather gets better I'll make a morning trip down to that lake. Thanks for the help.

Get there early. The runners fill up the lot pretty quick in the hot summer months
