Ran across these that a fellow yaker had made and thought it was a good idea. Maybe some of you already use this method. Since I am working on a roof rack this caught my attention for a front tie down spot. I an open for other suggestions as well. Thanks...

not a bad set up. It'll keep the scratches off your hood. I still like to tie up to my tow hitches or the frame for a solid lock down on the interstate, but moving from puddle to puddle, that might be nice. I could use one strap in the middle and one of those in the front and back when puddle jumping.

you can also do a similar setup by attachting the webbing to any good size bolt on the frame under the hood.
