Planning on my Son and I attending the fly fishing 101. Anyone else? Also, if someone has a CHEAP setup to practice with and fish with, let me know.

I saw that at Orvis last week. Would like to go, but not sure if I'll make it.

Pedalmedic, the Red Stick club has a dozen rod/reel outfits that they use for instructional purposes, so you won't need to have a rod for this event. In fact, it's best to attend and learn about the various types of fly tackle and what might best suit you. I believe Orvis and Green Trout Fly Shop (TFO) will be on hand so you can test their rods. (Incidently, my daughter has an Orvis Clearwater and my older son a TFO Signature - both introductory outfits - and they work very well).
