My revised cart is a solid metal rod and Elec Conduit it seems to be strong enough. My previous attempt was too weak for the heavy hobie. The earlier verision was strong enough for my ocean prowler 15. Also built a rach to put the kayak on will attach a dolly to them so I can move them around the shop. Thankyou Yak-a-lou for the big purple wheels.

nice. compact. looks lightweight, too I made mine out of the same type of tires with plywood and angle irons. Makes hauling to the launch a LOT easier.

Looks good.

Wheels are free at my house. Lemme know when/if you want some. I collect the electric Jeep wheels when cruising the parish and digging through trash.

You may want to try using tires from a kid's electric ride toy. Those narrow tires aren't going to do very well on soft ground/ mud.

Drill a hole thru your wheel axle and instead of using a plastic tie use a washer first (if possible) and put a cotter pin thru th hole. That way you can pull off anytime you want to.

Hey "Yak-a-lou" Do you have any extra free jeep wheels? Thanks Branch Office a cotterpin would be better, already have the washers. I will post another pic when finished.

Check your PM. Yes, I have eight wheels. Four large purple (really kinda lavender) and four medium black.

First come, first served. You're on the list as #1.

Very nice use of the scrubber holes. I may use that idea when I build one for my blue monster

Will the pool noodle press down over time and rub the wheels? It looks 300 times better than my first try well done! Maybe a pvc over the noodle and then a soft cap on top. No expert at this, just an observation.

The noddles are pretty stiff and the do mash down a bit. I still have ample clearance on top and on the sides, plus I have spare noodles in the hull. I can always cut new ones on site. So far its working. I am worried about a little yaw when rolling the yak up on to the wheels but once you start moving they track to the movement well enough.
